Product description : Gene Recombinant Protein Description: AdR (NADPH: Adrenal Ferriredoxin Oxidoreductase, EC 1.18.1.2) is a monomeric flavinase that contains FAD subunits with a molecular weight of approximately 51kDa and is involved in the biosynthesis of almost all steroid kinins in the human body. The mammalian mitochondrial P450 monooxygenase system is composed of NADPH dependent cortical ferriredoxin reductase (ADR), cortical ferriredoxin (ADX), and mitochondrial P450. In this electron transfer chain, electrons are transferred from NADPH to mitochondrial P450 through ADR and ADX. In the process of catalyzing the hydroxylation of C-22 and C-20 positions in the cholesterol structure by cytochrome P450scc, the carbon chains between them are then cleaved to form pregnenolone. In each catalytic step, two pairs of electrons are transported from NADPH to cytochrome P450scc through cortical ferriredoxin and its reductase.
